S is for Scientists by Larry Verstraete Illustrated by David Geister.I have read this one. . .it's a picture book. And my kids love it! There is a letter of the alphabet for things scientists do. Example: H is for Hypothesize. Then there is a loner couple of paragraphs describing an instance that a scientist used that to further his or her scientific career. So for H, the example talks about how Dr. Ignaz Semmelweis hypothesized about the spread of disease in his hospital in Vienna.
Very interesting. Read it with little ones using the ABC part or older kiddos with the background information. Cool book indeed! So enter and enjoy it yourself.
